Divinity at Manyamkonda

The Sri Lakshmi Venkateswara Swamy Temple at Manyamkonda, located in Mahbubnagar district of Telangana, is a sacred hill shrine often called the “Palamoor Tirupati”. Nestled atop three picturesque hills, the temple is built around an ancient cave where sages once performed deep meditation, giving the site its spiritual aura. The presiding deity, Sri Venkateswara Swamy, is believed to be swayambhu (self-manifested) and is worshipped along with Sridevi and Bhudevi. Manyamkonda is also revered as a Harihara Kshetra, symbolizing the union of Lord Vishnu and Lord Shiva, making it unique among sacred sites. With its recent ropeway facility, the temple became the first in Telangana to offer such modern access, ensuring comfort for devotees while preserving its spiritual charm. The annual Magha Purnima festival draws thousands of pilgrims, while its serene hills and panoramic views make it not only a holy pilgrimage center but also a peaceful retreat.
